Should the Steelers Trade Rudolph

If Clark was against Rudolph from the start and thinks Trubisky is great, then it’s hard to decide what to make of Ramon Foster’s comments. On the one hand, he thinks Rudolph could be a starter, but he doesn’t honestly believe Rudolph will win the starting role as it is not an actual competition.

When DK Sports asked Foster how Mike Tomlin would answer, the first question asked of him is Mitch Trubisky, your starter? He answered in the following manner.

"“There’re gonna say it’s a competition, and rightfully so it will be. Mason will have the opportunity to put his talents on display. But I’ll say this you got two guys behind Mitch Trubisky at this point right now that we assume feel like they can be starters in this league. If mason does all right, man, and you have the ability to put out good tape for him in the pre-season. I honestly do think you try to find a trade bargain, maybe later this summer after camp or something like that. I just think his aspirations are higher than being Mitch Trubisky’s backup, and I feel Dwayne Haskins is almost in the same boat too.”"

However, a peculiar response, to say the least, he took it one step further and complicated matters. He then said, “I still think the job is a ‘competition,’ but it’s still Mitches job to lose.”
