While the Steelers have done an excellent job of filling their initial roster holes in the offseason, trading for any of these eight players will further fix this team’s issues.

The Steelers entered the 2022 offseason with a slew of needs. The roster had lost a lot of talent n recent years and the team was appearing to be set for a rebuild. Some savvy and smart moves have filled most of the major voids on this roster though. That said, the likes of a receiver and defensive back could still be added to and are currently top needs. Here are eight players the Steelers could trade for to fill their needs.

Steelers could trade for Amadi

Ugo Amadi is a player that I’ve written about a couple of times now. While not an elite player by any means, he is a versatile player that can wear multiple hats for a defense. He is best suited to be a backup-free safety and a potential slot option for a team that appears to be looking for one. Given his lack of overall play on top of this, one would have to imagine Amadi would be extremely cheap right now.

While the Steelers have a similar secondary player like Amadi in Tre Norwood, he is more of a coverage player while Amadi has been the more physical run defender. Both have smaller builds which affect their ability to stop the run, but Amadi has proven to be the better of the two in that regard. The Steelers could add him on the cheap as they look to fill out their depth chart this offseason.
