There is little doubt the Steelers need to use the draft to plug some holes and replace talent that has moved on to other teams in the NFL.

One of the options they may consider is whether to draft Malik Willis, either at pick 20 or to trade up. Quarterback is not the only position they are looking at either. They could draft a cornerback, wide receiver, or an offensive lineman; they have many options.

Now One argument is that the Steelers do not need a quarterback as they signed Mitch Trubisky. That is correct; however, as good as everyone hopes Trubisky could be, he still has to go out on the field and prove it. We are several months away. Plus, it would not cause any harm to have a 4th quarterback on the roster during training camp. Suppose you take drafting a 4th quarterback off the table until 2023 and focus on the other needful positions.

However, with the quarterback carousel in the NFL free agency, who remains to fill that role as the 4th quarterback. Oddly enough, as silly as it seems, Baker Mayfield could fill that role. Do not take this as an argument that trading for Mayfield would be some genius move. The last thing you want to do is give your AFC North rival additional draft capital, especially when they gave it up for Deshaun Watson.

However, there are a few reasons why such a move would make some sense, as contentious as acquiring Mayfield it might be; however, here are some of the reasons.
