Steelers have veteran options to add at wide receiver

At this point in the offseason, there are still plenty of free-agent wide receivers available and the Steelers should be considering a handful of them. Some of the names that would make sense for the Steelers to look into are; Julio Jones, A.J. Green, Cole Beasley, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Will Fuller.

Cole Beasley is at the top of my list. I think he is a sneaky option that has a knack for finding a way to get open. Despite his size, he could bring a strong leadership factor into the Steelers locker room. Having been a teammate of Trubisky in Buffalo, it’s possible that Beasley has built chemistry with the new Pittsburgh QB.

A.J. Green would be another good option for the Black and Gold to consider. He would bring a nice size to the receiving corp, which will be needed if Claypool is traded. Even if his production has slowed down over the last couple of seasons, Green would still be a reliable and big target for Trubisky.

Will Fuller might be the second-best option for the Steelers. Although, it is possible that he may come with a bigger price tag than Beasley and Green. Fuller is a young and speedy option for Pittsburgh to pursue. This could pull some of the defensive coverage away from Diontae Johnson and even out the playing field.

The Steelers would be wise to look at all of the free-agent wide receivers still available.
