Steelers need to draft a wide receiver

It would be smart for the Steelers to spend their first-round draft pick on either Jordan Davis or one of the quarterbacks. To get their guy, Pittsburgh may have to move up in the draft. For this to happen, they should try to include Claypool in that trade deal. Including Claypool in the trade may limit the amount of draft picks the Steelers would sacrifice in order to move up.

Pittsburgh might be a bit more aggressive in the draft this year after they filled some roster holes during free agency. Taking a wide receiver in the second round of the draft seems like a very likely option for the Steelers.

Talented wide receivers seem to be plentiful in this upcoming draft. It would be beneficial if the Black and Gold grabbed a couple of them in the draft. The Steelers have drafted well at the wide receiver position in previous years. Drafting Antonio Brown, Diontae Johnson, and JuJu Smith-Schuster, Pittsburgh knows how to identify talented wide receivers.

While there are plenty of mock drafts that identify different receivers for them to target, I think that Steelers fans should keep an eye on Chris Olave or Pat Freiermuth’s former teammate, Jahan Dotson.
