The Steelers will trade up

If you had any thoughts that the Steelers are going to stand pat with their 20th selection, guess again. The Steelers will trade up; the question is, with whom do they trade? The spot which makes the most sense is the number five spot currently held by the New York Giants. The reason why is that the Steelers like Malik Willis that much.

The question here is the number five spot high enough to get Willis? People, as of late, are predicting Willis to go to the Lions at three. It’s possible Willis does; it seems more likely the Lions go either Kyle Hamilton, Evan Neal, Kayvon Tibodeaux, or Travon Walker.

Houston could take a quarterback at number three, but with the 13th selection, they can take one of the previous players mentioned and still get Corral, Pickett, or Ridder at number 13. The Jets are not taking a quarterback, which, if any quarterback goes, it’s either to Carolina, Falcons, or Seattle. Thus trading with the giants at number five makes the most sense. It seems unlikely the Steelers would give up extra to get to number two; then again, it comes down to how badly they want Willis.
