Steelers dream mock draft round 7: DB Isaac Taylor-Stuart

At this point in the NFL Draft, it’s hard to ask for much more than grabbing a solid developmental prospect like USC cornerback, Isaac Taylor-Stuart. The redshirt junior didn’t have much production in three seasons with the Trojans, but he’s got quality upside that could help him stick on an NFL roster.

Taylor-Stuart has very good size (6’1 1/2” and 201 pounds) and has the position flexibility to project as either a cornerback or safety at the next level. The Steelers could use depth at both, and Taylor-Stuart could be a core special teams player.

Bernhard Raimann is the offensive tackle prospect from Central Michigan drawing all of the buzz this offseason, but his teammate Luke Goedeke deserves some recognition as well. Goedeke isn’t the same level of athlete as Raimann, but he too has quality film.

The Steelers could use offensive tackle depth and Goedeke is a player who could stick on their roster as a developmental prospect. This would be a very solid selection with their final pick in the 2022 NFL Draft if he’s on the board.

I highly doubt any of the picks for the Pittsburgh Steelers will play out this way in 2022, but this would be my dream draft. In time, I think these selections would prove to be very good for whichever team ultimately lands these players.
