The Steelers depth chart received quite the makeover this offseason, and these four players will likely benefit the most from the new team.

The Steelers aggressively made some changes to their roster this past offseason, and as a result, this team is vastly different from where they ended the season at. While some players are now better fits, others will benefit from an upgrade in the talent around them. These four Steelers figure to greatly benefit from the new team around them.

Steelers Trubisky

Mitchell Trubisky was signed shortly after free agency, and it isn’t hard to see why the Steelers wanted to land him. Despite a plethora of struggles early in his career, Trubisky has the pedigree, athleticism, and arm talent this team wants in a quarterback. His deal was a fair one, and now it is up to him to prove to the team that he is more than just a transitional quarterback.

Trubisky flamed out with the Bears, but he did compile a few decent statistical seasons. Using his legs and dependable targets, Trubisky made the most of a mostly miserable offense. He looked like a far more composed player with the Bills during the preseason last year on top of this. Perhaps the coaching staff worked their magic on him as they did with Josh Allen just a few years before.

While the likelihood of Trubisky turning everything around and becoming an efficient NFL quarterback isn’t likely, there is a chance he can be serviceable. At worst, with some improved weapons, he should be set up for his best season as a pro. Don’t be surprised to see some early splash from the veteran and his best season to date with his new team.
