Corral checks most of the boxes for Steelers

There are a few prospects who check even more boxes than Corral does this year when it comes to Pittsburgh’s usual checklist of traits they look for. However, Corral meets and exceeds the standard where it counts.

While he has less than ideal size (6’1 5/8”, 212 pounds), Corral makes up for it with his excellent blend of tools. He has terrific velocity and can almost always make the first defender miss in the pocket. In terms of total arm strength, Corral doesn’t have the biggest arm in the class, but he has plenty of arm to push the ball down the field with ease.

Corral also played at the highest level of competition in college football in the SEC. Despite his team being outmatched by the talent in most games they played this season, Corral was able to go 10-3 this year. This tied Eli Manning for the best Ole Miss record since 1972.

There have been some questions about Corral’s maturity and overall character, but if this all checks out well with the Steelers, it’s easy to see how he could be a great fit in Pittsburgh.
