Steelers should consider OG/T Kenyon Green

Had the Steelers expressed more interest in offensive linemen during the pre-draft process, I think Kenyon Green would have been a player they would have fell in love with. Not to be confused with Kendrick, Kenyon — the Texas A&M standout — was fantastic this season.

Though he appeared a bit lost and sloppy at times during drills at the NFL Combine, Green has spectacular tape and experience all over the offensive line (which is exactly what the Steelers could use.

In the NFL, Green should excel as a guard and he has the length, feet, and skill set to play right tackle as well. At just 20 years old, Green is one of the youngest prospects in the entire 2022 NFL Draft class, and the fact that he already has spectacular tape in the SEC at such a young age is very telling.

Drafting Green would allow the Steelers to get their best lineup on the field and there’s a chance he could even be an improvement at tackle from day one over Dan Moore or Chukwuma Okorafor. If you are looking for a safe prospect with Pro Bowl upside that fills a need, Kenyon Green is your man. Sadly, Pittsburgh’s brass showed no interest in him during the pre-draft process.

There are other players I wish the Steelers would have been interested in as well, but these are three first-round picks I would really be able to get behind. It disappoints me that none of them will be on Pittsburgh’s radar in the NFL Draft.
