The Saints

Despite trading with the eagles, the Saints may still make a move to get one of their three draft choices and have two selections in the first round now. Even though they re-signed Jameis Winston, the Eagles trade left some to speculate that the Saints might still trade up for a quarterback.

Others feel differently. Some have surmised the Saints’ trade with the Eagles signified they have most of the pieces they need now and feel they need two more players like a receiver and lineman to bring everything together, meaning the Saints now have the capital to trade up or stay where they are.

The Steelers

The Steelers, though, had a slightly different strategy. While many had speculated that if the Steelers traded up, it would be to get Malik Willis. Well, according to the article no, they had a different strategy.

Their strategy was to trade up while keeping their 20th selection to get a Safety, more than likely Kyle Hamilton, one of the three safeties on their shortlist and draft a quarterback at 20. Or they would take a safety at 20, Daxton Hill or Lewis Cine, and trade back to grab a quarterback.

It made sense for the Steelers. They had not re-signed Terrell Edmunds, and they had planned to have four quarterbacks in camp and now only have two.
