Steelers special teamer Miles Killebrew

Miles Killebrew may just be the most versatile player on the Steelers roster. He made quite the impression in the first game of the 2021 season against the Buffalo Bills. Killebrew was the man on special teams that blocked the punt which allowed his teammate to scoop the ball and score in the 3rd quarter.

Killebrew is a force on special teams and honestly, the Steelers have one of the best special teams units in the league.  That blocked punt gave Pittsburgh a strong lead heading into the final moments of the game.

In addition to special teams, Killebrew can also be a factor in the defensive secondary. He can play in coverage but he can also rush the passer and find his way into the backfield. Killebrew’s 2021 season wasn’t as strong as some of his previous years. But with his 2-year extension, the Steelers will get creative and find more ways to get him into the game.

Killebrew was a special member of the special teams unit for Pittsburgh. I would expect him to be more of a factor on defense this upcoming season. Hopefully, he gives fans some more blocked punts to cheer about this year.
