Pittsburgh Steelers: 3 dream scenarios in 1st round of draft

Steelers dream scenario #2
Steelers find a willing trade back partner
A slightly better alternative for the team, trade backs are uncommon in the Kevin Colbert era. Occasionally the team moves up for a name they really like, but usually, they just stand pat and take whoever the top player on their board is. With so many long-term needs on this roster and a logjam of potential prospects at pick 20, the team may be able to afford trading down his year.
Again, I am going to look at this with a quarterback focus, as the team has done their due diligence on all of the top names. Say the guy they have as their top prospect (again, I believe that to be Willis), is off the board but the rest of the class is still there. That leaves four quarterbacks this team may be ok with. Moving back a handful of spots and still getting that quarterback could work out well.
Ideally, the team would be picking up a third-round pick, and potentially even another day-three pick to move back a few slots. They can still get a quarterback with their top pick, but they are also adding additional resources to better build this team. Trade backs are notoriously rare, but in a draft like this, it would make a lot of sense for the team.
