3rd: Cincinnati Bengals

I have tried my absolute best to give the Cincinnati Bengals as much praise as I can following their recent Super Bowl appearance, but after the colossal egg that they just laid in the draft, I must draw the line somewhere.

Cincinnati had just six draft picks to work with (that was bad enough), but they used only one of them on the offensive line, which was their biggest box to check off entering this draft by far. The rest of the picks were used on the defense, and even that handful of players left some to be desired.

Looking at some of the opposing defenses in both the AFC North and Cincinnati’s 2022-23 schedule, they cannot afford to have a paper O-line. Joe Burrow can’t throw dimes to his receivers if he’s face-down on the turf. So while the Bengals may have made Super Bowl LVI, it seems like they won’t even be sniffing Super Bowl LVII.
