DL DeMarvin Leal

There is a lot of potential upside for DeMarvin Leal, especially if Stephon Tuitt does not return, which is a high possibility. One would have to think Leal Knows this and is planning to make the best of his situation. Honestly, the sky could be the limit for him, and he could quickly rise to a starter with much hard work.

Leal should work out just fine. Some may claim he is a bit undersized, but that could end up being a non-issue. Keep in mind that after the 2021 season ended, many thought Leal might be a number one draft choice for a while until his stock dropped after the combine.

Does that mean he lacks the talent to become a starter? No way! Once he takes the field fans may fall in love with what he will bring to the Steelers defensive pass rush. His presence should make pressuring the quarterback easier for Cam Heyward and T.J. Watt, as offensive lines will not be able to block everyone on every play.

While he won’t come close to T.J.Watts sack total, Leal could potentially have four or five sacks his rookie year and could be a starter within two seasons. There are many reasons to keep your eye on Leal this fall.
