2. T.J. Watt

There are so many reasons to love Pittsburgh Steelers star defensive player, T.J. Watt. Not only is Watt the reigning Defensive Player of the Year award winner and current face of the franchise, but he’s also a steward of the game who is never satisfied with his play or personal accolades.

In fact, Watt spoke to the media during organized team activities and expressed that he doesn’t care about his individual achievements and that winning the Super Bowl has always been the ultimate goal. Watt also stated that he thinks his best football is still ahead of him and that he has lots of room to improve.

This is the mentality that I wish every player approached the game with. Despite his personal success and the fact that he’s chasing records, Watt is as far from the ‘me first’ personality we have seen from Steelers stars in the past, and winning is clearly the ultimate goal.

Watt carries himself very professionally and has quickly emerged as one of the most important veteran leaders on the team. His teammates will rally around him and follow his lead.
