1.  Cameron Heyward

I’ve yet to find a soul out there who doesn’t like Cameron Heyward — nor should there be. Heyward was the 2021 Walter Payton Man of the Year for a reason, and he’s been nominated four times for this award.

In addition to continuously volunteering and serving the community, Heyward is a terrific leader to his teammates. As the most tenured player on the team, he goes above and beyond to make sure he’s helping everyone learn and grow.

Despite his reputation as a three-time All-Pro, Heyward routinely takes the timeshare tips and acts as a personal coach to his younger teammates. Heyward is like the big brother of the group that everyone respects and looks up to. His leadership skills are extremely rare, and it truly is a blend of everything that makes him the most likable player on the Pittsburgh Steelers roster.

The Steelers have plenty of other high character players that fans love to root for, but these five are impossible not to like. Let’s hope their personalities and humility continue to rub off on those around them.
