5 Steelers offseason moves to get most excited about

Kenny Pickett is someone that most fans will clamor to see this season
Kenny Pickett is the new hope for this franchise’s future. He played his college football at the University of Pittsburgh and had a successful end to his story there. It was such a successful season that the Steelers decided to take him in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
He was the most NFL-ready in that crop of quarterbacks but time will tell if he has the best career out of the group. His one year of production was something special and he has some great qualities to his game. He should fit into Matt Canada’s offense well and that should lead to some successful things.
His mobility and ability to excel in the short and mid-range of the passing attack is what Canada is mostly looking for. That won’t lead to a lot of deep shots like Ben Roethlisberger liked to do, but it will lead to moving the chains and long drives. This will allow Canada to either sink or swim after having some excuses in prior years.
Adding a new quarterback in the first round is always going to bring excitement to a team, no matter who he is. Bringing in a player from the local alma matter adds to that expectation even more. Pickett looks to be the guy for this team for now and the future so buckle up Steelers fans.
