4 players that the Steelers must be building itself around

Steelers building block #1
I mean, could it be anyone else? T.J. Watt is one of the top defensive players in the league and the definition of a gamechanger as a player. He does it all as an edge rusher, from stopping the run to getting after the quarterback. Any game can be a huge one for Watt, and even the ones where his stats don’t jump off the paper, he is usually still making an impact.
Watt is one of the top players in the league and he is just about to turn 28 this season. Edge rushers can play into their mid-thirties at a high level (just look at Von Miller), so Watt should still be the face of this defense for the next four to five years at a minimum. They have seemingly found a suitable counterpart to him in Alex Highsmith, meaning the pressure should be overwhelming from this defense.
There is no better or more important building block for the Steelers moving forward than Watt. He is a dynamic defender through and through and should remain that way for the foreseeable future. Watt is the heart and soul of this defense, and because of that, he is the most important player to build around moving forward.
The Steelers have a very new roster built up this season, and while some of the older stalwarts are gone, there are some new faces to take that place. In particular, these four players are great options to build this roster around as they should be focal points for this team for the foreseeable future.
