The Pittsburgh Steelers will host their 2022 training camp at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe. Here’s everything you need to know.
It’s almost that time already! For the first time in three years, the Pittsburgh Steelers will resume a tradition that started all the way back in 1967 by hosting their training camp at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania for the 55th time.
In 2020, training camps were shut down altogether because of the pandemic. Last year, the Steelers did not get approval to travel to Latrobe for training camp because of COVID-19 restrictions, so they hosted fans at Heinz Field.
Being in Pittsburgh for training camp was a nice change of pace, but I’m excited to get back to Saint Vincent College. If you are within driving distance and haven’t been there before, I would highly recommend it. Here are the Steelers training camp dates that will be open to the public this year, via Steelers.com:

What you need to know about Steelers training camp
Last year, fans were required to pre-register for the dates they would be in attendance at Heinz Field for training camp. Unfortunately, this is still the case. The good news is that tickets are free. For the fastest entry onto the campus, mobile tickets are encouraged.
Once you arrive at Saint Vincent College, there will be plenty of things for the whole family — vendors, games, and a Steelers store where you can purchase apparel. Most importantly, this is a time when you can see your favorite players up close on the practice field.
After running through warm-ups, the Steelers will split for positional fields, so you may have to move around if there is a certain player or position you are trying to scope out. Once on the grounds, you will have the opportunity to choose between finding a spot on the bleachers or finding a spot on the hillside. Strollers, folding chairs, and picnic blankets are welcome!
For those looking to snag some autographs, the best place to do so is to line up along the fenced path that runs from the facility to the practice fields. Players rarely sign autographs before practice, but many will take some time with fans on their way back out. If this is important to you, make sure you find a good spot along the fence where you can potentially meet some players.
All in all, Steelers training camp makes for some great family fun. Whether you are there to take notes and scout players like me or just want to casually enjoy your team from the bleachers, there’s something for everyone. See you in Latrobe!
