Houston Texans
While he may not be as popular as the high-profile quarterbacks from the 2021 draft class, the Houston Texans have a signal-caller they really like in Davis Mills. Put in a difficult situation in his first NFL season, Mills was actually quite impressive down the stretch.
Sadly, the Texans are still severely lacking talent around their roster. Brandin Cooks is a quality receiver, but the lackluster combination of Nico Collins, Mike Conley, Phillip Dorsett, and John Metchie isn’t ideal.
Diontae Johnson would give the Texans a serious upgrade at the wide receiver position. Houston also holds 5 draft choices inside the first three rounds next year, which could be enticing to Omar Kahn and the Steelers.
Though the Texans have just under $10 million in cap space at the moment, that number skyrockets to over $45 million next offseason. For cap purposes, they could push the brunt of that into the future. Getting a quality weapon to help out a young offense would be intriguing to Houston.
