Browns: EDGE Myles Garrett

Regardless of the results they’ve witnessed over the past few seasons, there’s no denying that Cleveland’s roster has quite a bit of talent on paper. The Browns have some very good football players on both sides of the ball.

Denzel Ward is one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL, while Joel Bitonio graded out as the best guard in the NFL last season, according to Pro Football Focus. Additionally, Deshaun Watson could once again emerge as one of the best quarterbacks in the league when he returns to the field. However, I have to give the nod to Myles Garrett as the best Cleveland Browns player entering the 2022 season.

While Steelers fans would argue that T.J. Watt has been in a tier of his own at the edge defender position over the past three seasons, Garrett is a spectacular player in his own right. The generational prospect and former number one overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft hasn’t been a disappointment and has earned 58.5 sacks in his first five seasons in addition to earning first-team All-Pro honors twice in a row.

Entering the 2022 season, Garrett is the favorite to win the Defensive Player of the Year award by most sportsbooks. He’s on track to have a Hall of Fame career.
