4 bargain free agents Steelers should still add before training camp

Steelers budget free agent #1
The other big depth need for the Steelers is at edge rusher. Unfortunately, this position is already pretty picked over. There are a few veterans that would make sense, but odds are they would want a deal akin to what the team gave Melvin Ingram a year ago. A true budget option that would improve this room is a bit harder to find.
The name that makes the most sense is former second-round pick Jeremiah Attaochu. He has made his way around the league, serving as a rotational player for most of that time. That said, he does have a six and five-sack season to his name. He has good size, can rush the quarterback, and should be cheap considering the Bears just recently released him.
The depth behind the Steelers edge rushers isn’t good right now despite the team adding a few low-level free agents. While Attaochu isn’t a huge name in his own right, he is a system fit that has a good track record as a backup. Assuming he would sign for a cheap contract, the team would be wise to add him to their edge rusher room before camp.
The Steelers roster, while rebuilt, is still filled with holes. While some of these issues will remain with the team this season, there are still quite a few low-level free agents that would aid this team. Keep these four free agents in mind as the team prepares for training camp to get underway.
