Steelers WR Anthony Miller had a standout practice

One of the biggest questions entering training camp is which receivers will be able to carve out a role with the team in 2022. Last year, the Steelers kept just five on their active roster, but three of those receivers (JuJu Smith-Schuster, James Washington, and Ray-Ray McCloud) all found new homes during the 2022 offseason.

With all of the turnover on the roster, others will have to step up. Pittsburgh added a number of new receivers this year in George Pickens, Calvin Austin, Miles Boykin, and Gunner Olszewski. Because of this, I had Anthony Miller just missing the final WR spot on my pre-camp roster prediction.

However, after the first practice, it looks like Miller was able to do himself some favors. Miller snagged several balls including an impressive one-handed catch that really got the crowd into it.

With Diontae Johnson sitting out of team drills and the Steelers, and Pittsburgh looking for a slot receiver to replace JuJu and McCloud, Miller could really have a chance to carve out a role if he continues to play well at training camp.
