The Steeler training camp is in full effect as some players are starting to separate themselves from others.

The Steelers are anchored into Saint Vincent College’s campus as their training camp is in full swing. Things have been tough as the club was dealing with significant weather interruptions in their schedule. The changes to the practices were altered and that led to some unique circumstances for the team.

No matter what time this club hits the practice field, these players have been making an impact every practice. Keeping a close eye on these five players throughout the pre-season and beyond should be on the to-do list for fans of this group. All players listed in this article have shown up to practice and have constantly flashed their abilities and surprised some by doing so.

Right now, this is a marathon, not a quick sprint to the finish line. This race does need players to be consistent the entire pre-season from the beginning of training camp until the final cuts are made. The NFL is a never-ending loop of proving your worth over others, not just during the pre-season.

Dan Moore Jr. is getting nice reviews in year two with the Steelers

There has been a nice competitive matchup occurring often in the fields of Latrobe during this camp. Dan Moore Jr. has been tasked to block Alex Highsmith on many occasions and that battle has been a tough fight every time. The winner of that battle has flip-flopped often as these two look to sharpen iron with iron.

This second-year tackle returns as the starter on the left side for the Steelers. Moore had an up and down rookie year that saw him play well down the stretch. He deserved another shot at being the undisputed starter on the blind side and it seems like he could take a step forward this season.
