The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking for their second straight win against the New England Patriots. Here are the best bets for the game.

Despites the win against the Bengals in Week 1, many fans are surprised to see that the New England Patriots are favored over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Bettors who don’t think this should be the case could use these odds to their advantage.

Both teams struggled mightily on offense in their season-openers, and the Steelers will be without T.J. Watt for roughly six weeks. However, this is a game that Pittsburgh should probably be favored in, and I would expect a better output offensively. Here are the three best bets to make in Week 2:

Best Steelers Bets Week 2:

Total Points: UNDER 40.5 (-115)

Last week, the Steelers scored just 16 offensive points despite an extra quarterback of play in overtime, while the Patriots put up just 7 against the Dolphins on the road. While we would suspect a better outing from each unit in Week 2, don’t for a second think that this game is going to turn into a shootout. Pittsburgh and New England were both among the worst teams in the league last week in yards per play, and we think taking the under on the points total is a pretty safe bet.

Player Passing Yards: Mitch Trubisky OVER 217.5 (-114)

In Week 1, Steelers QB Mitch Trubisky was able to muster up just 194 passing yards, but it wasn’t for a lack of attempts (he passed the ball 38 times on the afternoon). Trubisky had just 76 yards on 22 targets when passing to wide receivers last week, and while he might not explode for a 300-yards game, we don’t believe he will be nearly as inefficient this week. Bet the over on the passing yards for Trubisky.

Moneyline: Steelers (+110)

If you’re like us and you think the Steelers are going to win this game outright, there isn’t much point in taking Pittsburgh to cover the spread this week. Instead, we have them taking the moneyline, which includes a better payout (+110). Mike Tomlin’s team has the more talented lineup, the game is at home, the Patriots are playing their second straight road game, and Patriots QB Mac Jones has been dealing with back spasms. This is reason enough for us to have the Steelers winning outright.
