The Pittsburgh Steelers are in Cleveland to take on the Browns. Here are the three best prop bets you could make for Thursday Night Football.

Thursday Night Football will be a battle for positioning between two heated AFC North rivals. The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns are square at 1-1 to start the season, and a loss could essentially mean a two-game swing for teams looking to remain in the playoff hunt.

This contest will be on the road for the Steelers. After their offense fell flat for the second straight week against the New England Patriots, a T.J. Watt-less defense wasn’t able to bail them out this time around. Pittsburgh will look for more success and more points on the board in Week 3.

While offensive coordinator Matt Canada probably won’t change things up much on a short week, there’s reason to believe this unit could take a step forward in Week 3. Here are the three best prop bets to make for Steelers vs Browns on Thursday Night Football:

Najee Harris OVER 17.5 Receiving Yards Prop Bet (-114)

After last week, the Najee Harris receiving prop almost seems like free money. Against the Patriots, the Steelers lead running back turned 6 targets into 5 receptions for 40 yards, via ESPN stats (second on the team in both receptions and yards behind only Diontae Johnson).

Through two weeks, the Browns defense has been exploited through the air. While they may be able to generate quick pressure on the quarterback, this could favor Najee, as he is typically the safety valve out of the backfield. Fanduel Sportsbook has the over/under for Harris’ receiving yards set at 17.5 with a -114 payout. I would hammer the over this week.

Mitch Trubisky OVER 200.5 Passing Yards Prop Bet (-114)

Surpassing two-hundred yards through the air doesn’t seem like it should be very hard at all, but Mitch Trubisky certainly makes it look difficult. In his first two games, the Pittsburgh Steelers starting QB has not garnered over 194 passing yards in either contest. However, I do believe that changes this week.

The Browns are currently 25th in passing yards per game, according to Team Rankings — allowing 258 yards through the air per contest. They haven’t exactly played the cream of the crop either (Baker Mayfield and Joe Flacco were the two quarterbacks they faced). Mitch Trubisky may not have much firepower, but I do think that he earns his first game over 200 passing yards against Clevland in Week 3.

Pat Freiermuth Anytime TD Scorer Prop Bet (+330)

Next to only Diontae Johnson, no pass-catcher for the Steelers has received more looks in the first two weeks than Pat Freiermuth. It’s also worth noting that Pittsburgh’s talented tight end has earned at least one end zone target in each of his first two games, and he came down with a touchdown last week against the Patriots.

There’s no reason to believe that Trubisky will suddenly stop looking his way against a suspect passing defense. Freiermuth is a big target in the red zone who typically finds a way to come down with the football in pay dirt (7 touchdowns as a rookie in 2021). At +330 odds, via Fanduel Sportsbook, this is an excellent gamble in Week 3.
