The Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Buffalo Bills on the road in Week 5. Here are the best player prop bets to make in this AFC matchup.

In past weeks, we have hammered the under on the point total with Mitch Trubisky at the helm for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now that Kenny Pickett is leading the charge at the quarterback position, we should see some things change — some of which we already saw in the second half against the Jets.

In his debut, Pickett was able to put up 14 offensive points in two quarters despite throwing three interceptions. This makes the Steelers offense a tough projection in Week 5 — especially against a stingy Buffalo Bills defense. However, there are certainly some bets we really like this week.

The Steelers are 14-point underdogs for the first time since the merger, and this game does, unfortunately, have the potential to get out of hand early. However, here are the three best player prop bets you can make to assure that this game has meaning until the very end — regardless of what happens on the scoreboard.

George Pickens OVER 37.5 Receiving Yards Prop Bet (-115)

In Week 4 against the Jets, George Pickens turned a career-high 8 targets into 6 receptions for 102 yards, via ESPN Stats. Half of these targets came in the second half with Pickett slinging the football, and nearly all of Pickens’ production came with the rookie quarterback on the field.

Pickett didn’t have a problem targeting Pickens whenever he was single-covered. There’s reason to believe that this will be the case again against the Bills in Week 5. We fully expect George Pickens to top his 37.5 receiving yards prop in this contest.

Josh Allen OVER 1.5 TD Prop Bet (-200)

This bet doesn’t have a particularly good payout at -200, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. However, we feel increasingly confident that this is going to be a safe bet to make. The Bills were already massive two-score favorites against the Steelers this week prior to the first injury report being released. Now Mike Tomlin recently noted that CB Ahkello Witherspoon will not be available to help cover talented receivers like Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis.

Additionally, Minkah Fitzpatrick (knee) and Terrell Edmunds (concussion) are dealing with injuries and their statuses aren’t clear at this point. Without T.J. Watt to offer a consistent pass rush, we expect Josh Allen to have a field day against this Steelers secondary, and we would be surprised if he didn’t have at least a pair of touchdown passes on Sunday.

Pat Freiermuth Anytime TD Scorer Prop Bet (+320)

If you want to take a bet with a good payout this week, we love Pat Freiermuth as an anytime touchdown scorer at +320 odds. The Steelers young tight end has been spectacular early in the season. Last week alone, Freiermuth hauled in 7 of 9 targets for 85 receiving yards. On one reception, he came up just two yards short of the goal line.

Freiermuth already has a red zone touchdown this year and he has been targeted multiple times in paydirt. While most of that came when Mitch Trubisky was under center, Kenny Pickett targeted Freiermuth often down the seem in the second half, and there’s reason to believe he will actually improve and get even more opportunities with the rookie quarterback slinging the ball.
