The Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Miami Dolphins on the road for Sunday Night Football in Week 7. Here are the odds and our predictions for the game.

While there were those who were tempted to take the Steelers at +9.5 prior to kickoff against the Buccaneers in Week 6, I don’t think anyone was taking Pittsburgh’s moneyline. Fortunately, Mike Tomlin’s team pulled off one of the biggest home upsets in franchise history. Now his team faces an ice-cold Dolphins team that has lost three straight games by at least 8 points each.

The biggest factor this week no doubt comes to the quarterback situation (for both teams, in fact). The Dolphins recently received some good news as QB Tua Tagovailoa has reportedly been cleared from concussion protocol and is expected to return to the field for the first time since suffering a severe concussion against the Bengals in Week 4. Meanwhile, Kenny Pickett may not be able to suit up on Sunday night after suffering a concussion of his own against the Buccaneers in Week 6.

Even with a mirky quarterback situation for both teams, it’s reasonable to think that Pittsburgh could come back down to earth in Week 7. Here are the betting odds and our predictions for the Steelers vs Dolphins on Sunday Night Football:

Steelers vs Dolphins Odds Week 7

The Pittsburgh Steelers open the week as 7-point underdogs to the Miami Dolphins on the road, according to Fanduel Sportsbook. This isn’t what fans were hoping for after a big upset win over the Buccaneers. Pittsburgh has a moneyline of +240 and the over/under for this game is currently set at 44.5 points.

Steelers vs Dolphins Prediction Week 7

It’s not often that you see a team defy some pretty big spreads two weeks in a row to emerge victorious. With all of their injuries, the Steelers were fortunate to come away with a win against a pretty strong Tampa Bay team last week. On Sunday Night, the Dolphins could be getting Tagovailoa back, which would really help their chances of securing a win.

With some injured defensive starters possibly missing another game, we can’t expect the same type of results in Week 7 — especially when trying to cover players like Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. We are predicting the Steelers to hang tight enough in primetime action to cover the 7-point spread, but we have them coming back down to earth this week with a final score prediction of 23-20 in favor of the Dolphins. The 43 total points in this contest would be just barely under the projected point total this week.
