The Pittsburgh Steelers have a daunting matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday. Here are the three best prop bets you can make for this game.
Mike Tomlin is no doubt rallying his troops as we speak in an effort to avoid falling another game behind the divisional race. Tomlin is certainly in jeopardy of having his first losing season as the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers and dropping to 2-6 would all but solidify this happening.
Unfortunately, the Steelers will face one of the best teams in the league this week as they are in Philadelphia to challenge the 6-0 Eagles. This game has the potential to get out of hand early on, but to ensure that it holds meaning throughout, here are the three best prop bets you can make for Steelers vs Eagles in Week 8:
Kenny Pickett OVER 214.5 Passing Yards Prop Bet (-114)
In his first three starts, the only time Kenny Pickett hasn’t crushed the over on his passing yards prop is when he was forced to exit the Buccaneers game early in the second half with a concussion. On the road in Buffalo for his first start, Pickett managed 327 yards on 52 attempts, and last week he earned 257 yards on 44 attempts against the Dolphins, via ESPN stats.
A lack of passing attempts hasn’t been the issue, and while the Eagles have a great defense, I can’t see them holding Pickett to under 215 yards this week –especially considering how many times he will likely be asked to throw the football. We like the over for Pickett’s passing yards at -114 odds, via Fanduel Sportsbook.
Miles Sanders OVER 64.5 Rushing Yards Prop Bet (-114)
This is another bet that seems pretty easy to make. Miles Sanders has been a very efficient runner for the Eagles this year. Over his last three games, he has averaged over 87 rushing yards per contest. Meanwhile, the Steelers surrendered 4.9 yards per carry against Raheem Mostert last week for a total of 79 rushing yards.
Philadelphia’s offensive line should be able to bully Pittsburgh’s front seven without T.J. Watt, and we like the over for Miles Sanders’ 64.5 rushing yards prop bet in Week 8.
Pat Freiermuth Anytime TD Scorer Prop Bet (+380)
This one seems to be worth a gamble most weeks. While Pat Freiermuth has just one touchdown on the season entering Week 8, he has missed some time with a concussion. It also hasn’t been for a lack of targets. Freiermuth caught 8 of 9 balls thrown to him last week and led the team with 75 receiving yards. The opportunities are there and he will soon cash in. It’s a quality gamble at +380 odds.
