3 Best Prop Bets for Steelers vs Bengals in Week 11
By Tommy Jaggi
The Pittsburgh Steelers are searching for a win against the Bengals in Week 11. Here are the three best prop bets you can make for this AFC North matchup.
It took half a season, but the Pittsburgh Steelers finally started to find their groove offensively fresh off their bye week. Against the Saints in Week 10, Pittsburgh totaled 379 total yards including 217 on the ground. Sadly, this equated to just 20 offensive points — a hump they haven’t been able to get over yet in 2022.
Now Mike Tomlin’s team will have a daunting task against the 5-4 Cincinnati Bengals. A loss would be catastrophic to their chances in 2022. Knowing what’s on the line, we’re expecting Pittsburgh to rise to the challenge again. The Steelers may be underdogs at home for the second straight week, but they aren’t going down without a fight.
If you are in the business of adding a bit more incentive to the game this week, here are the three best prop bets you can make for Steelers vs Bengals in Week 11:
Jaylen Warren OVER 24.5 Rushing Yards Prop Bet (-115)
Even in a game last week when Jaylen Warren wasn’t as efficient as he normally is running the football, he still managed a very respectable 37 yards on 9 carries (4.1 per carry). On the season, Warren still averages 5.0 yards per carry and has been one of the more efficient backup running backs in the league.
Though the Bengals could be getting their top run defender back this week in D.J. Reader, Pittsburgh’s offensive line was excellent at paving roads for Steelers ball carriers last week against the Saints — a trend that could continue into Week 11. Earning 25 rushing yards should be a piece of cake for a decisive, efficient runner like Warren. We love the over on this rushing yards prop bet at -115 odds, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.
Tee Higgins OVER 73.5 Receiving Yards Prop Bet (-125)
Even playing alongside Ja’Marr Chase for most of the season, Tee Higgins has managed roughly 6.5 targets per game. Combine that with the fact that he has astonishingly averaged over 9.5 yards per target in each of the past two seasons, and you are looking at a receiver who could very well be in line for a big game.
With Chase out of the lineup with an injury, even more targets are expected to go Higgins’ way. Though the Steelers continued him to just 27 yards in Week 1, Higgins did have 114 yards and a touchdown when these two teams faced each other in Week 11 of last season. The Bengals won’t be able to run the ball against Pittsburgh like they did last week against Carolina, and we expect Joe Burrow to try to feed Higgins often. We like the over on this prop bet.
Pat Freiermuth Anytime TD Scorer Prop Bet (+265)
Once again, Pat Freiermuth received another endzone target in Week 10 against the Saints on a pass that should have gone for a touchdown. Unfortunately, Kenny Pickett was off the mark. Still, it’s worth noting how often the rookie quarterback looks in the direction of his favorite security blanket. Freiermuth has earned at least 7 targets in each of his past three games. He’s due for a touchdown and we are betting on him to reel one in at +265 odds this week.
