Steelers vs Bengals Best Bets for Week 11
By Tommy Jaggi
The Pittsburgh Steelers need a win against the Bengals to help keep their season alive. Here are the best bets you can make for this AFC North matchup in Week 11.
Pittsburgh Steelers fans are desperately hoping that there will be something to play for following Week 11. Comfortably beating the Saints fresh off their bye last week was a step in the right direction, but in order to remain relevant, Mike Tomlin has lots of work to do.
This week, the Steelers will try to make it a clean sweep of the Cincinnati Bengals. Pittsburgh won their first game of the season on the road against Joe Burrow and company but it required five takeaways and a blocked extra point to get the job done in overtime.
Nothing is ever a guarantee when two heated divisional rivals square off, but based on our research, here are the best bets you can make for Steelers vs Bengals in Week 11:
Best Steelers Bets Week 11
Steelers-Bengals Point Total UNDER 40 (-110)
It required overtime for these teams to combine for over 40 points in Week 1. There were a lot of flukey things that happened in that game, and we don’t think most of them are repeatable. While the Bengals scored 42 points alone last week against the Panthers, Pittsburgh’s defense is going to be a much tougher task — especially on their own turf this time around.
With no Ja’Marr Chase to take the top off the defense for the Bengals this time around, we think Cincinnati’s offense could be a bit capped. Both teams also have edge defenders who can generate quick pressure on the opposing quarterback. In our initial game preview this week, we predicted a point total of just 37 and we’re sticking to it. At -110 odds via DraftKings Sportsbook, we like the under this week on the point total.
Kenny Pickett UNDER 1.5 Passing TD Prop Bet (-230)
Until we actually see it happen, it’s really hard to predict that Kenny Pickett will record 2 or more touchdowns in a game. In fact, in 6 games played this year (5 starts), Pickett has just 2 passing touchdowns to go with his 8 interceptions. He’s also on a two-game drought without a single passing score.
Eventually, we think Pickett recording two touchdowns in a game could come pretty naturally, but until we see it, there’s no reason to assume it’s going to happen. We like the under on the TD prop for Pickett this week
Steelers Moneyline (+160)
Despite the Steelers being underdogs in Week 10 against the Saints, we felt pretty confident they were going to pull off the upset. The Bengals are unquestionably a tougher opponent, but we are banking on an upset once again in Week 11.
Pittsburgh will be playing their second straight home game off a bye. Though the Bengals are also rested, they are just a few weeks removed from being humiliated by the Cleveland Browns. Mike Tomlin lives for these moments and typically pulls through with his back against the wall. With a defense firing on all cylinders and a running game starting to click. We like the Steelers +160 moneyline this week.
