The Pittsburgh Steelers will look for a miracle to keep their season alive this week against the Colts. Here are the best bets you can make for this AFC matchup.

The hope of a late surge by the Pittsburgh Steelers this year has nearly extinguished for all fans. At 3-7, this feels like a lost and wasted season in 2022, and many fans are even torn on how to root (or what to root) for at this point. Still, they do have a winnable contest this week against a similarly bad Colts team that currently sits on a 4-6-1 record.

While playoff hopes have gone by the wayside, Steelers fans can still give themselves plenty of incentive to tune in to Monday Night Football this week. Here are the best bets you can make for Steelers vs Colts in Week 12:

Best Steelers Bets Week 12

Steelers UNDER 1.5 Total Touchdowns (+145)

The Steelers recently put up 30 points for the first time since Week 11 of the 2021 season (exactly a year ago). However, I certainly wouldn’t expect that trend to continue — not this week anyway. Last week, it took the Eagles up until the waning seconds of the game to score their second touchdown, despite having one of the best and most efficient offenses in this league this year.

Pittsburgh, meanwhile, already has a bottom-tier offense, so putting up multiple scores on a respectable Colts defense is going to be a challenge. We like the under this week on the Steelers 1.5 touchdowns, via DraftKings Sportsbook. At +145 odds, this is a solid bet with a respectable payout.

Point Total UNDER 39.5 (-110)

With the exception of the blowout losses, in nearly every other game the Steelers have played this year, they’ve struggled to hit the over on the point totals. Even with the point total set at just 39 for these two teams this week, I think this game falls short of this mark.

So far in the 2022 season, the Steelers are scoring 17.0 points per game (even after their 30-pointer against the Bengals last week), while the Colts are 31st at just 15.7 per game. With how well Indy’s defense played in Week 11, I think it’s a very safe bet that these two lackluster offenses will combine to score fewer than 39 points. We are hammering the under this week.

Colts Covering -2.5 Point Spread (-110)

The Indianapolis Colts are favored in this game, but only by a margin of 2.5 points. If this game were played in Pittsburgh, we may have considered taking the Steelers to win in a pick’em; however, we think that the Colts will ultimately prevail.

In our betting preview earlier this week, we predicted Indy to win with a final score of 17-13. We are sticking to this low-scoring slugfest. With a spread so narrow, we like the Colts to cover at -110 odds. This gives you better odds than betting them to win outright on the moneyline (-140).
