Steelers news: Antonio Brown arrest warrant, injury updates, and more
By Tommy Jaggi
Pittsburgh received some encouraging news regarding the health of their recently injured players. Here’s the latest Steelers news you need to know.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a huge win against the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football. On a short week, they will look to carry this momentum into another road game — this time against the 5-7 Atlanta Falcons.
With the win, the Steelers climbed past a few teams in the NFL standings, and their projected first-round selection fell from the 5th pick all the way down to 12th, according to Tankathon. There have been no big announcements by Mike Tomlin this week, and the team is looking pretty healthy heading into Week 13.
Antonio Brown News
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Antonio Brown. The warrant cites a misdemeanor battery charge from an incident on November 28th, per CBS Pittsburgh.
The former Pittsburgh Steelers star has been out of football for nearly a year and has been involved in a number of incidents in the past. Now it’s possible he could be put into custody. We don’t know what will come of this incident, but this is yet another bad look for Brown.

Jaylen Warren played just 3 snaps in Pittsburgh’s Week 11 game against the Bengals before being ruled out for the remainder of the contest with a hamstring injury. This caused him to miss the Steelers Monday Night Football matchup against the Colts.
Now Warren is on track to return to the field after logging two full practices. Pittsburgh took a committee approach on the ground last week in his absence and it was actually Benny Snell who led the team in carries after Najee Harris was sidelined with an abdominal injury.
Though Najee Harris was said to have avoided a major abdominal injury, his status for Week 13 is still in doubt after missing practice to begin the week. In an effort to preserve his health, Pittsburgh may consider shutting him down for one more week and deeply a committee approach against the Falcons on Sunday. Jaylen Warren, Benny Snell, and Anthony McFarland would be the trio in the backfield if this proves to be the case.
