A video has gone viral of Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin cussing out a fan at halftime of the Falcons game, and it has been met with mixed reviews.

By Sunday evening, most Pittsburgh Steelers fans were already well aware of the outcome of the game. After an impressive first half, Matt Canada’s offense fizzled out just enough to allow Pittsburgh to hold onto a 19-16 victory.

What you probably didn’t know is that Mike Tomlin blew up at a random fan at halftime. On Sunday evening, a video posted by a Steelers fan on Twitter went viral, and it has been met with some mixed reviews.

As Tomlin was exiting the tunnel from halftime, the fan recording the video got his attention and said, “Let’s go for the win, man!” The Steelers head coach instantly barked back, “Man, I’m f—ing working!” Here’s the clip:

Unsurprisingly, some fans were quick to come to the defense of Pittsburgh’s head coach here — saying that a fan should have never been talking to him in this situation — while others even praised him for his harsh choice of words. Most comments seemed to be part of this camp.

A smaller group of commenters were appalled by Coach Tomlin’s actions here — sarcastically calling him a ‘class act’ or using a few choice words of their own to describe his actions.

This is a bad look for Steelers HC Mike Tomlin

Disagree with me if you will, but I do not agree with Mike Tomlin’s decision to cuss out this fan. I don’t care if he’s working or not; this goes back to common human decency.

Tomlin was cruising right along the path. He could have pretended not to hear the fan or chosen not to say anything at all. Instead, the Pittsburgh Steelers head coach did a double-take before shouting profanity in his direction.

I understand that Coach Tomlin has a job to do. That doesn’t mean that he has to be a jerk about it. So many were quick to call Tomlin a ‘boss’ and show their support for the Steelers head coach in response to this video, but if the roles were reversed and it was the fan cussing out Tomlin, whose side would they be on?

I think Mike Tomlin is a pretty good guy, but in my opinion, he clearly showed his arrogance with his decision to lash out here. Would it have taken any more effort to say ‘hi’? Probably not.

light. Trending. A near coaching collapse among biggest takeaways from Steelers win vs Falcons
