The Pittsburgh Steelers have a critical matchup against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 14. Here are the odds and our prediction for this AFC North contest.
After a remarkably sluggish start to the 2022 season, it seems that the Pittsburgh Steelers are finally starting to turn things around. Since their Week 9 bye, Mike Tomlin’s team has a record of 3-1, and they recently stacked back-to-back wins for the first time since last season.
This second-half schedule has been much easier than the brutal slate they played earlier in the year. Now Pittsburgh might be catching another break. The Baltimore Ravens will likely be without Lamar Jackson in Week 14 as the former All-Pro quarterback recently suffered a knee injury early against the Denver Broncos this past Sunday.
We didn’t think this would be the case with the way things were going early in the year, but this game against the Ravens actually has some pretty big implications. Can the Steelers fight back in the playoff hunt in the AFC and advance to 6-7 with a third straight win?
Steelers vs Ravens Odds Week 14
The Pittsburgh Steelers open the week as 1.5-point favorites over the Baltimore Ravens, according to Fanduel Sportsbook. This isn’t the line we thought we would be, but oddsmakers have no doubt factored in Jackson’s recent injury. This game will be played in Pittsburgh and the Steelers have a moneyline of +106. The over/under point total is currently set at just 38.0.
Steelers vs Ravens Prediction Week 14
Despite their 8-4 record and the fact that Baltimore has won 5 of their last 6 games, this team has been very up and down this season. A few weeks back, they put up just 13 points against the Carolina Panthers, and this past Sunday they were fortunate to escape Denver with a 10-9 win.
Now that they could be without Lamar Jackson, it stands to reason that the Steelers have a very good shot at winning this game. Though this Pittsburgh team is different than the ones we have seen in recent years, Tomlin has won four straight games against John Harbaugh and company.
Baltimore allows just 19.7 points per game, but they did just give up 28 in a loss to Jacksonville in Week 12. Meanwhile, their offense has struggled in recent weeks, and that will likely be the case again if Jackson can’t suit up.
Kenny Pickett and the Steelers have looked the best they have all season since the bye week, and there is plenty of reason to believe they will come away with this one. We like Pittsburgh’s moneyline this week and under 38 points with what we are predicting to be a 19-17 win for the home team.
