Steelers mock draft round 6: DT PJ Mustipher

If you are looking for a flashy defensive tackle who can soak up production, PJ Mustipher is not your guy. However, if you are looking for a stout run defender who can anchor a defensive line, he’s just what the doctor ordered.

At 6’4” and 323 pounds, Mustipher is a quality run defender who can anchor at the point of attack. Meanwhile, Tyson Alualu won’t be back and Montravius Adams has been very unspectacular. The Steelers wouldn’t be getting an interior pass rusher, but this pick would make a lot of sense.

Steelers mock draft round 7: QB Spencer Rattler

How the great have fallen. Prior to his 2021 season, Spencer Rattler was being talked about as the potential number-one draft pick in 2022. However, a bad season led to his benching and he was forced to transfer. Now it looks like Rattler will be a late selection in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Nobody expects much out of him at this point and he botched the shot at redeeming his draft status with just 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in an unspectacular season this year. Still, Pittsburgh could use a backup quarterback on a rookie contract, and they could roll the dice on the former five-star recruit.
