3. Steelers offensive tackle situation is shaky

Not only has the offensive tackle position been shaky at best for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2022, it also happens to be one of the most important positions in football. Dan Moore and Chukwuma have done as well as anyone could have expected from a former fourth and third-round pick, respectively. But settling for less is silly.

Okorafor has a cap number of over $13 million next season, and the Steelers might not have a choice but to live with it. However, it’s probably pretty unreasonable to think that he’s going to be a much-improved player in his sixth NFL season.

Of the two starting offensive tackles, Dan Moore Jr. probably has the higher ceiling of the two, but he’s also the least consistent starting offensive line on the team. I truly believe that Moore would be excellent as a swing tackle, but the Steelers should absolutely find an upgrade.

It’s also worth noting that the Steelers had excellent luck this season when it came to the health of the offensive line, and they are very fortunate that they didn’t have to call on a player like Trent Scott or Jesse Davis. Pittsburgh needs to cover their bases and finally fork up for a good offensive tackle.
