Steelers vs Ravens Best Bets for Week 17
By Tommy Jaggi
The Steelers will take on the Baltimore Ravens this week in a do-or-die game for Pittsburgh. Here are the best bets you can make for this AFC North contest.
It’s hard to believe that the are just two weeks left of regular season football. As good as this late-season surge has been from the Pittsburgh Steelers, it’s unlikely to be enough to get them into the playoffs this January.
With the clock ticking on this team, it’s time we place a few last-minute wagers to help make up for the hurt the Steelers have caused us in 2022. Here are the best bets worth taking for Steelers vs Ravens on Sunday Night Football this week.
Best Steelers Bets Week 17
Steelers OVER 1.5 Total Touchdowns (-130)
We realize that the Pittsburgh Steelers only put up 14 points against the Ravens in their first contest, but that was with a backup quarterback (Mitch Trubisky) who telegraphed 3 interceptions. Kenny Pickett’s offense hasn’t been scoring a ton of points, but he has been taking care of the football.
With the Ravens already clinching a playoff spot with the Week 16 results, we think Pittsburgh’s offense does enough to muster up a pair of scores — even against a stingy defense like Baltimore’s. We like them to do so at -130 odds, via DraftKings Sportsbook.
Najee Harris UNDER 59.5 Rushing Yards (-120)
It’s been pretty safe to take the under on the rushing yards for Najee Harris all year, and we don’t think this week will be any different. The former first-round pick had a brief surge after the team’s Week 9 bye but has really fallen back down to earth in recent weeks.
Najee had just 53 yards on 16 carries against a very suspect Raiders defense last week. Against Baltimore the first time around in Week 14, he rushed for just 33 yards on 2.7 yards per attempt, per ESPN stats. Harris isn’t much of a threat to break off big runs either, so we think it’s a safe bet to think that he earns under 60 rushing yards on Sunday Night Football.
Steelers Moneyline (+115)
This is a bet we have been taking all week. Personally, we believe the Steelers should probably be favored in this game — considering that the Ravens have already locked up a playoff spot and that Lamar Jackson is out of commission.
Regardless of the results of their last contest, it’s unlikely that Pickett will have to leave because of injury or that Pittsburgh will finish minus three in the turnover department. Even with these factors going against them, they lost by just two points. Mike Tomlin has much more to play for than John Harbaugh this week, so we really like the Steelers moneyline at +115 odds.
