Steelers vs Browns Best Bets for Week 18
By Tommy Jaggi
The Pittsburgh Steelers will host the Cleveland Browns in their final game of the 2022 season. Here are the best bets you can make for this AFC North contest.
After fighting back to salvage their 2022 season, you better believe that Mike Tomlin isn’t going to leave anything on the table on Sunday afternoon. The Pittsburgh Steelers are 6-2 since their bye week and a win in Week 18 — along with losses from the Patriots and Dolphins — will get them into the playoffs.
While six starters and eight total players missed practice to start the week, every able-bodied man is going to be suiting up for this one. The Steelers have plenty of incentive this week, and we believe that Pittsburgh could find some success on offense this week. Here are the best bets you can make for Steelers vs Browns in Week 18.
Best Steelers Bets Week 18
Najee Harris OVER 73.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Since the bye, Najee Harris has been on fire. Last week against a stingy Baltimore Ravens defense, Harris earned 111 yards on the ground while the team compiled 198 total rushing yards. The Browns have the 25th-ranked run defense in the NFL, and with the way that Pittsburgh’s offensive line has been paving lanes in recent weeks, surpassing 73.5 rushing yards should be a cinch for Najee. We like him to do so at -155 odds this week, via DraftKings Sportsbook.
Pat Freiermuth OVER 3.5 Receptions (-150)
After being on a tremendous pace up until Week 12, Pat Freiermuth’s production has leveled off a bit. This past Sunday against the Ravens, he recorded just 3 receptions for 36 yards. Against the Panthers back in Week 15, the stud tight end wasn’t even targeted. However, there is plenty of reason to believe that will change in the season finale.
Freiermuth has earned a combined 14 targets over the past two weeks, and you can only keep a good player down for so long. He hasn’t had fewer than 3 receptions in a game since being forced out of action due to a concussion against Buffalo in Week 5. Though it doesn’t offer a spectacular payout, we are hammering the over this week on the 3.5 receptions prop bet for Pat Freiermuth.
Steelers Moneyline (-145)
At the end of the day, this just feels like a game that the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to win. Mike Tomlin didn’t fight back this hard from a 2-6 record to see it all fall apart in the last game of the season. The Browns have essentially nothing to play for but pride, as they have been eliminated from the playoffs, and the Steelers are the hotter team right now. Though this could be a hard-fought contest, we expect Tomlin and company to take care of business in the season finale.
