The Pittsburgh Steelers are entering their final game against the Browns with most of their roster intact, but a few starters will play through injuries in the season finale.

It was an interesting week to monitor the Steelers injury report. During their road contest against the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday, both Minkah Fitzpatrick and Diontae Johnson went down in pain, but were able to finish out the game.

While we expected to see their names added to the injury report early in the week, they were accompanied by a handful of other starters. In all, six starters missed at least one practice and nine total players deal with injuries or illnesses this week.

As Mike Tomlin’s team prepared to face the Clevland Browns, we would have loved to see all of their starters log a full week of practice in a do-or-die game, but such is often the case with banged-up players late in the season. Here are the Steelers inactives vs Browns in Week 18.

Steelers inactives vs Browns Week 18

The Steelers injury report looked pretty discouraging all week leading up to their final game of the season. The good news is that nearly everybody will be able to suit up at home against Cleveland today — even if they are playing through bumps and bruises. Here are the Steelers inactives for Week 18:

  • DB Tre Norwood
  • EDGE Malik Reed
  • QB Mason Rudolph
  • OG Kendrick Green
  • LB Tae Crowder
  • DL Jonathan Marshall

Hamstring injuries have been the Achilles heel of Steelers defensive backs this season. Ahkello Witherspoon missed most of the 2022 season with a severe hamstring injury, and now Tre Norwood will miss his second straight game with the same injury after a setback in practice this week. In addition, backup edge defender Malik Reed will be out once again.

The biggest concerns this week were the pending statuses of Minkah Fitzpatrick and Myles Jack — two players Steelers fans really wanted to see on the field in their final game of the season. Fortunately, both players will suit up and attempt to go today despite both missing two days of practice this week and being limited on Friday.

Joining Norwood and Reed in street clothes this week will be reserve players including QB Mason Rudolph, OG Kendrick Green, LB Tae Crowder, and DL Jonathan Marshall.
