The Pittsburgh Steelers have their brass on hand for the 2023 Senior Bowl. Here are six top prospects who could prove to be high on their draft radar.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have more high draft capital than they’ve had in decades and they should be enamored with plenty of talented players at the 2023 Senior Bowl. Obviously, there are no shortage of needs to go around on their roster right now, but based on Art Rooney’s comments in his post-season wrap-up, the team could be eyeing offensive help.

Fortunately, there are some quality offensive linemen who could offer significant upgrades along the offensive line in the first two rounds of the 2023 NFL Draft this year. Already, some of these prospects are off to an excellent start at the Senior Bowl. Here are six of the top prospects who could prove to be high on the Steelers radar this April.

1. Steelers could target OG O’Cyrus Torrence

The best true guard prospect just so happens to be at the Reese’s Senior Bowl this year. O’Cyrus Torrence is a well-rounded football player who graded out as the very best guard in the nation in 2022 among 641 players, according to Pro Football Focus. Torrence has quick feet and can keep his man in front of him in pass protection, but does a lot of his damage as a road-grading run blocker.

At the weigh-ins, Torrence showcased prototype size for a guard at 6’4 3/4” and 337 pounds with an 84” wingspan and massive 11 1/4” hands. The Florida Gator carries his weight well and has tremendous play strength thanks to his sturdy frame.

There’s little question that Torrence would be an upgrade over Kevin Dotson at left guard for the Steelers, but the question becomes whether or not the difference between the two players is significant enough for Pittsburgh to use their top draft choice on him. While it’s possible Torrence slips out of the first round, it seems unlikely considering the strong start he’s had at the Senior Bowl. Still, this player is right up Mike Tomlin’s alley and he will be on Pittsburgh’s radar in the NFL Draft.
