Steelers can finally nab a run stuffer

Keeanu Benton is a name that has already garnered a lot of Steelers buzz this week. From his playstyle to his size to the fact that the team has shown interest in him already, Benton has already tied himself to Pittsburgh. It makes sense though, as the Wisconsin nose tackle looks the part of a modern run plugger.

6’3, 312 pounds is a great size to command the middle of the field. While some prefer the oversized 330+ pound linemen, Benton had little issue stopping the run in college. His lighter frame means he is also more agile and could become a better pass rusher. If not, he could always bulk up a few pounds to garner more traction along the interior.

The Steelers need to get an upgrade at nose tackle, and Benton has everything this team could want in a player. Add in the supposed verbal interest the team has already shown to Benton and this seems like a logical pairing. A lot of mock drafts will include Benton following all of these connections.
