The Pro Bowl is a joke but could get better with these improvements
Include other leagues in the Pro Bowl festivities for future talents
Getting more players to the Pro Bowl to expand the game of football might be one of the best ideas. You could include the college football All-star games around this time as well so that many different players could show their talents to NFL teams getting ready for the draft. The Senior Bowl, East-West Shrine Bowl, and many others include some of the top draft talent around this time of year.
Coming back to screens near you over the next couple of weeks will be the XFL after their failed rejuvenation a couple of years ago. They are trying to make a connection with the NFL to hopefully become a prospect farm league of talent. Getting these players in uniforms and participating in something that could show off their talents could also lead to potential future deals.
There are so many different leagues and All-star games that will be happening around this time in the future that the NFL needs to look at the opportunity in front of them. They need to be open to the idea of expanding into these leagues for developing potential talent like how the MLB and NHL do. Having these extra games filter around the Pro Bowl to have the All-star game as a sendoff event would make this much more interesting.
The Steelers could benefit from some of these ideas to include in Pro Bowl week. The NFL needs to relaunch this All-star event as it continues to struggle and seems to get worse as each year passes by.
