Steelers upgrade from a massive trade in latest 2023 mock draft
Steelers mock draft round 2: CB Kelee Ringo
From the Bears original second round pick acquired in the Chase Claypool trade, the Steelers have a lot of options to select from. They decide to address the secondary by taking Kelee Ringo out of Georgia. He was once considered the top cornerback in this class, but he is falling behind some other talented cornerbacks right now. Pittsburgh gets a young corner that has a lot of starting experience that should be able to upgrade this room on day one.
Steelers mock draft round 2: LB Jack Campbell
Their original second round selection rolls around and the team takes Jack Campbell out of Iowa to help their issues at middle linebacker. It is always possible that the club defers to address this position in free agency, but they take a young guy to help steady the position here. Campbell is not the most athletic linebacker in this draft, but he is smart and is not afraid to make contact.
Steelers mock draft round 2: DT Tuli Tuipulotu
Continuing to attack the trenches through draft capital is something the black and gold set their minds to in this simulation. They select Tuli Tuipulotu out of USC to come in and challenge for the starting spot next to Cam Heyward. This defensive lineman is kind of a tweener right now, which is like DeMarvin Leal. Tuipulotu has played at a bigger size before and could become a dominant pass rusher at the NFL level.
