There are mixed thoughts on trading George Pickens out of Pittsburgh. Since joining the Steelers three years ago, he has been their only offensive weapon and consistent piece on forgetful offenses. After adding DK Metcalf in a trade earlier in the offseason, Pittsburgh could move Pickens if the right offer comes in.
Steelers general manager Omar Khan would have to be shocked with an offer. Pickens is in a contract year, and his prior toxic characteristics could bubble over if he doesn't receive an extension before the upcoming campaign. Khan should be willing to listen to trade offers, as Pickens's talent would make him the best available receiver in the offseason.
Khan should have plenty of interest, but some could be more desperate than others.
Steelers could acquire a good haul in a potential George Pickens trade
New England Patriots
There is no other position on the Patriots roster with a more glaring hole than wide receiver. They have some young and upcoming pieces at the position but have routinely whiffed at adding weapons around Drake Maye during free agency. It's a weak draft class at the position, so attacking the Steelers on the trade market to acquire and extend George Pickens might be their best bet.
New England has high-end second and third-round selections near the top of their respective rounds. They also hold two third-round selections in the upcoming draft. The Patriots could be willing to move their top pick in the third round, which would intrigue the Steelers. Maybe sending Pickens to New England for the 69th overall selection could be an adequate resolution.
Las Vegas Raiders
No other team is connected more to Pickens than the Las Vegas Raiders.
Rumors started to swirl about a trade revolving around Pickens and the Raiders after the star receiver posted some pictures on social media. One of the posts showed Tom Brady, who has a lot of control over the franchise. That could mean nothing, but Pickens has done some shady things in the past. He could be working his way out of Pittsburgh.
Moving their toxic receiver to a city like Las Vegas would be shocking. Having his personality in the Sin City would be unfathomable. When you review the Raiders roster, they desperately need weapons on offense to help Geno Smith. The Steelers could be interested in their third-round pick, which is 68th overall. Maybe a trade of Pickens for the 68th overall pick, plus a sixth-rounder, would get the deal done.

Green Bay Packers
If the Steelers wish to trade Pickens for a player in return, Green Bay could enter the fold. The Packers still need some help at the receiver position, especially a top target like Pickens. They have Jordan Love at quarterback, and they need to take their offense to new heights. Green Bay has some quality receiver options, but none of them have joined the elite level that Pickens has.
Pittsburgh would love to trade Pickens for an established receiver in return.
Adding Pickens to the Packers would be costly. The Steelers would start conversations surrounding either Jayden Reed or Romeo Doubs. Reed is someone Pittsburgh expressed tons of pre-draft interest in and isn't a free agent until 2027. Doubs is a reliable veteran, but he is a pending free agent after this season, so the Steelers should request more in a deal that includes Doubs.
