Almost annually, we talk about how the Steelers offense needs new players. They need some tinkering to take things to another level. With free agents about to hit the market and others needing future contracts, Pittsburgh has a perfect opportunity. It's the best time to modernize their offense.

The Steelers and the rest of the NFL will be at the Senior Bowl all week during practices that finish with the game. That contest will be on February 1 at 2:30 P.M. EST. There are enough playmakers who should show they are worth a top pick in the upcoming NFL draft. Pittsburgh must take advantage of this evaluation period.

Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss

Steelers owner Art Rooney II said the club needs to rebuild its quarterback room. Even if Russell Wilson or Justin Fields re-signs, the team needs some players at quarterback. Jaxson Dart has started to climb draft boards in recent weeks. He has the guts that everyone is searching for. He might not be a perfect prospect, but Dart could gain steam at the Senior Bowl.

Based on Rooney's comments, expect Pittsburgh to show plenty of interest in quarterbacks in the 2025 and 2026 drafts.

Bhayshul Tuten, RB, Virginia Tech

Will Najee Harris return? That is the ultimate question, but it seems more likely he leaves than returns. There are plenty of quality running backs in a deep draft class to replace Harris. Bhayshul Tuten is flying under the radar. Pittsburgh wants to add speed to the depth chart, and Tuten should fly up draft boards as the pre-draft process plays out.

Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State

Jayden Higgins is one half of a strong receiver duo coming out of Iowa State. He is the bigger target of the two halves and has produced some eye-popping numbers. He started his career at Eastern Kentucky before becoming a Cyclone in his last two years. His production and stature should interest most scouts. The Steelers will keep a close eye on Higgins at the Senior Bowl.

Clay Webb, OL, Jacksonville State

Let's throw out an outside name here as Clay Webb tries to fly onto everyone's radar at the Senior Bowl.

The Jacksonville State product was a five-star recruit coming out of high school. He initially transferred from Georgia to get playing time at Jacksonville State. He took off from there. Stacking plenty of honors while barely missing time with injury. Webb is someone with all the tools necessary to succeed at the Senior Bowl and could be a steal in the upcoming draft.

Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama

There might not be a fan favorite larger than Jalen Milroe is to Steelers Nation.

It is somewhat puzzling why people love Milroe since he is Fields-light. He isn't as polished of a prospect as Fields was when he came out of the draft. Milroe has some good qualities, and he looks good on paper, but he was a key reason Alabama struggled in big games this past campaign. Milroe has to produce big outings in the pre-draft process if he wants to get selected early.
