Even though Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback target Aaron Rodgers remains unsigned, he is always willing to spout off his thoughts on a given situation no matter what anyone else things. He spent most of his time calling out both a former employer and Steelers 2025 opponent.

Rodgers went back to his familiar echo chamber on The Pat McAfee Show, and he did not pull any punches. Rodgers ripped the New York Jets, saying that they did not handle his exit in a very professional manner. More shots came in at new head coach Aaron Glenn, who Rodgers claims conducted a short 15-minute meeting after he flew out to meet them.

The Jets and Steelers play each other in 2025, which could give Rodgers the chance to show New York how wrong they were for getting rid of him. However, the Jets also have a quarterback who could try his hardest to get one back at his old running mates.

After the Steelers were unable to link up with Justin Fields, the former first-round pick joined the Jets on a two-year deal in free agency. Both these snubbed quarterbacks have something to prove, which could make for some must-see primetime TV early in the year.

Aaron Rodgers' Jets comments set up perfect Steelers revenge game

While Rodgers likely would have complained if the Jets chose not to meet him in person, possibly implying in their lack of guts, it's clear that his ego is bruised. Going to Pittsburgh could be a perfect spot for him to get his payback.

The Jets, meanwhile, could send Fields back out there against a team that didn't want him back badly enough. In fact, Pittsburgh was apparently so against the idea of bringing him back that they were willing to jump through all of the Rodgers-related hoops just to give themselves a chance at landing him.

Rodgers may not say it, but he can certainly hold a grudge. He can still play, and his ego is bruised. That could lead to him detonating all over Glenn's defense in a way that could humiliate the Jets if Glenn doesn't back up his very bold decision or get a good game out of Fields.

However, if Rodgers loses his rematch with the Jets, he could end up looking like the biggest fool in the world. No matter what ends up happening, the box-office Rodgers may have created one of the 2025 season's marquee games.
