Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers have won three of their first four games, but Rodgers doesn't seem to think this is more than a one-year thing. Rodgers has honestly looked pretty sharp this year, and you can't really complain about a 3-1 record if you're a Steelers fan.
Through four games, the four-time MVP and future Hall of Famer has tossed eight touchdowns against three interceptions for a stellar 102.6 passer rating. He's quickly formed a great connection with DK Metcalf and added 200 more yards and a long touchdown to Metcalf in Week 4.
If the Steelers do keep stacking wins and have a legitimate shot at winning the AFC North, it would be worth wondering if Rodgers could come back for another season. Just think - winning the AFC North in 2025 could make Aaron Rodgers think that 2026 could bring even more success, but the veteran QB, on his second team in as many seasons, has clearly made up his mind and is obviously enjoying himself thus far.
Aaron Rodgers, despite the fun he's having, is clearly retiring after the Pittsburgh Steelers' 2025 season ends
Aaron Rodgers, with a nice golf metaphor, is very open about his future in the NFL:
Aaron Rodgers: "It's the twilight of my career. I wouldn't say back end. I used to say, 5, 6, 7 years ago I was on the back nine, but I'm teeing off on 18 right now."

Then: "What happened to Ryder Cup? Europe's smashing 'em still? Yeah, that's too bad."
Rodgers says that he's teeing off on hole 18 right now, and unless you have never played golf before, you know what that means. Playing 18 holes in golf is a marathon, and a lot can happen. For Rodgers, the 18th hole represents his last year in the NFL.
After 18, the round and match are done, and for Rodgers, the 21-year NFL career is over. Ironically, he played 18 years for the Green Bay Packers, and I am not sure it would have been a bad idea for him to hang it up after his Packers tenure. However, after a shaky two-year tenure with the New York Jets, Aaron Rodgers has found new life with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The stable franchise is precisely what the veteran QB needed at this stage in his career, and, ironically, it seemed to be the only team where Rodgers had a clear-cut QB1 job for the 2025 season. The stars have aligned thus far as well. Now, yes, it is early, but a 3-1 start is nothing to scoff at, and no matter what happens with the rest of the Week 4 slate of action, the Steelers will at least be tied for the best record in the division through the first quarter of the season.
