The Baltimore Ravens just added a veteran player to their roster, and Pittsburgh Steelers fans should be celebrating the move. On Monday, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that the Ravens are signing safety Rayshawn Jenkins.

If you know the name, it's because Jenkins was on the Steelers for the first six weeks of the season. But things got so bad that Pittsburgh had no choice but to move on.

The Ravens' decision to sign Jenkins comes one day after getting torched at home by Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and their lethal pair of receivers in a 35-13 loss. This move also comes with Ravens safety Jaylinn Hawkins out and multiple players in the secondary on IR.

Desperate times call for desperate measures... but there's no preparing Ravens fans for what they are about to experience with Jenkins in the secondary.

The Baltimore Ravens just got worse with the Rayshawn Jenkins signing (and Steelers fans can only laugh)

This isn't me trying to hate on the Ravens; I always try to evaluate as objectively as possible, AFC North rivals included. But Jenkins has been pitiful for several years now, and he was utterly unplayable before the Steelers cut him loose.

Jenkins saw the field for four games for Pittsburgh early in the 2026 season. During his part-time role in the secondary, the 32-year-old safety was targeted five times—allowing five completions for 120 yards and a touchdown, per Pro Football Focus. This equated to a perfect 158.3 passer rating surrendered to opposing quarterbacks this year [$].

Somehow, worse than his advanced metrics, however, is Jenkins' game film. The veteran safety has found himself completely out of position far too many times despite his limited role with the Steelers.

And we can't say we are surprised.

Jenkins is now on his fifth different NFL team in four years—and with the Ravens' signing, he has now been on three of the four AFC North rosters (Browns, Steelers, and Ravens) since last season. All he needs now is to join the Bengals at some point this year.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are all too familiar with this player, and Jenkins was forced to see the field out of necessity because of the injury to DeShon Elliott. The moment the Steelers benched Jenkins at halftime of the Browns game on TNF for seventh-round rookie Robert Spears-Jennings, they were instantly a better team for it.

The Steelers have yet to play either of their two games against the Baltimore Ravens—these will both come late in the year. Let's hope Rayshawn Jenkins is still on Baltimore's roster by then. And if he is, Aaron Rodgers will know exactly who to pick on in the passing game.
